TAP INTENSIVE - (Dancers ages 10 and older)
EPAC’s Summer Tap Dance Intensive is a unique and exciting one week program designed for dancers age 10 or older with prior tap dance experience. Dancers will be challenged as they learn new technique, choreography, music making skills, and tap dance history. Dancers will co-create a group choreography with guidance from Intensive faculty Andrew Nemr (link to bio, tap dance). Dancers will showcase their creation during an informal showing at EPAC Studios at the end of the week.
About Andrew:
Mentored by Gregory Hines, Andrew is an internationally known tap dance artist. He is a TED Fellow, the subject of the documentary film Identity: The Andrew Nemr Story, and hosts the weekly podcast Talking Notes. He is the co-founder of the Tap Legacy Foundation, Inc, (along with Hines), an organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of tap dance. Andrew loves sharing his joy for tap dance with dancers of all ages and levels!
